BEST IN THE NATION: Four Asheville Area Homes Selected as Finalists in HGTV Ultimate House Hunt Competition 2022
Global online competition spotlights Beverly-Hanks listings for second year running
June 29, 2022 (Asheville, NC)—HGTV has selected four local homes represented by Beverly-Hanks, REALTORSⓇ as finalists in their Ultimate House Hunt 2022, a competitive showcase of extraordinary homes for sale from across the nation. The Ultimate House Hunt is a month-long online competition held annually on HGTV.com featuring best-in-class homes in eight categories: Amazing Kitchens, Beachfront Homes, Countryside Retreats, Curb Appeal, Downtown Dwellings, Homes with a History, Outdoor Escapes, and Waterside Homes.
All nominees are represented by members of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World® and Luxury Portfolio International®. This is the eleventh consecutive year HGTV has worked exclusively with Leading Real Estate Companies of the World ® and Luxury Portfolio International® for the Ultimate House Hunt, which runs from June 28–August 2, 2022. The popular awards generated more than 1.5 million votes last year, with consumers selecting their favorites among the featured listings.
Beverly-Hanks listings selected by HGTV’s editors:
- In the Downtown Dwellings category, 23 Rankin Avenue in Asheville is a finalist. This beautifully renovated luxury condo is available for sale, offering a blend of modern and turn-of-the-century architecture in the heart of downtown. 23 Rankin Avenue is represented by Julie Smith and Todd Kaderabek.
- Nominated in the Curb Appeal category is 215 Kimberly Avenue in Asheville, also represented by Smith and Kaderabek.
- In the Countryside Retreat category are 10 Creek Hollow Court in Arden, represented by Lee Swing of Walnut Cove Realty, and 16 Boot Lake Lane in Brevard, represented by Team Billy Harris.

Consumers can tour the 77 homes selected as finalists by viewing photo galleries on HGTV.com before casting a vote for their favorite properties. A winner will be chosen in each category based on the highest number of votes received, and an overall favorite will be awarded for the listing receiving the most votes. Additional properties are included in the Global Homes gallery, which spotlights homes from nine different countries or territories around the world.
Each winning home will receive editorial exposure on HGTV.com, as well as the prestige of being selected as an HGTV fan favorite.
Beverly-Hanks’ four nominations come on the heels of winning the Downtown Dwellings category in 2021. 75 Broadway Street #301 in Asheville received the most votes among the downtown listings, reflecting the home’s exceptional appeal to HGTV.com’s dedicated audience of home enthusiasts.
