Real estate leader expands to Asheville/Mountain region, closes 20,120 transactions
Allen Tate Companies ended 2022 with $8.7 billion in closed sales volume, the best year in the history of the 65-year-old company and $1.9 billion more than the previous year’s total of $6.8 billion.
The company expanded its footprint to the Asheville/Mountain region in August, with the acquisition of Beverly-Hanks Realtors – the largest in company history – adding 18 offices and nearly 500 agents. Allen Tate now operates 71 offices with approximately 2,100 agents in seven regions throughout the Carolinas.
The Carolinas’ leading real estate company reported 20,120 closed transaction sides in 2022 and listed 12,618 homes for sale.
With its partner Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, the company is ranked as the #1 independent real estate brokerage in the country, with more than 400 offices across 13 states and 14,000 sales agents and staff.
“After two years of a crazy red-hot marketplace, 2022 brought change, with rising interest rates, escalating inflation and affordability concerns,” said Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley.
“As the real estate market shifted, our agents shifted their mindset, their marketing, their processes, and most importantly, the value they brought to their buyers and sellers. We stayed relevant and resourceful,” said Allen Tate Realtors President Gary Scott.
The Allen Tate Family of Companies also reported strong results for 2022:
- Allen Tate Mortgage closed 718 loans totaling $214 million.
- Allen Tate Insurance provided insurance coverage to 17,600 customers, with nearly 33,511 policies in force.
- Allen Tate Relocation generated 7,443 referrals and closed 2,618 referrals through its Relocation connections around the world.
- Master Title Agency produced more than 4,000 title insurance policies, insuring more than $3.5 billion in property value.
- Builder Services partnered with 8 home builders, representing 21 new homes communities in North and South Carolina.
More than 700 Allen Tate Realtors achieved top performance levels during 2022, based on closed sales volume of $2 million to more than $100 million. Allen Tate will celebrate these achievements at awards presentations in February and March.
Realtors are recognized each year by Allen Tate for their achievements in categories including company-wide closed sales volume, closed units, listing volume, listing units, and referrals, and for legendary service provided. Realtors are also recognized for their achievements within their region and at the branch level, including top individual agent, top team and rookie of the year.
In 2022, Allen Tate opened two new offices: Oak Ridge Hwy. 58 in the Triad region and Apex Center Street in the Triangle region. The company updated and refreshed offices in Raleigh-Falls of Neuse, Burlington, Charlotte-University City, Wesley Chapel and Greenville-Downtown.
