Pumpkin Patches Near Charlotte

The woods and farmlands of the Carolinas are already the perfect setting for a farm getaway, but when you add the attractions of fall, things get even better. These include everything from you-pick pumpkin patches and wagon rides to corn mazes and even apple cider slushies.

We rounded up ten local farms and markets in and around Charlotte where you can join in the fun. From pumpkin lots in the heart of town to secluded family farms just a few minutes out, we think there’s a spot on this list that could become your new favorite family tradition!

 

Anne Springs Close Greenway

Fort Mill, South Carolina

During last three weekends in October, Anne Springs Close Greenway transforms into a fall harvest paradise. Complete with wagon rides, a homegrown pumpkin patch and a kiddie corn maze, it’s the perfect place to celebrate the season — and you’ll also get to enjoy the petting zoo, pedal carts, horse rides, face painting, kayaking and gem mining!

 

Country Days Corn Maze

Indian Trail, North Carolina

Open from late-September through early-November, this Indian Trail corn maze is themed each year. For 2018, the movie theme means you could find yourself inside a bucket of popcorn, on top of a hot dog, behind 3D glasses, or sitting in the director’s chair. At the General Store, you can shop novelty souvenirs, candies, t-shirts, homemade jams, pumpkins and more.

 

Hall Family Farm

Charlotte, North Carolina

Pumpkin Patches Near Charlotte

Operating from mid-September through Halloween each year, Hall Family Farm is a family-run farm that has been operating in Charlotte for more than 70 years. Offering fresh strawberries in the spring and a variety of pumpkins in the fall, it’s the perfect place to celebrate each season. While you’re visiting, be sure to hop on a hayride and eat a fresh donut, too!

 

Hodges Family Farm

Charlotte, North Carolina

The longest running farm in Charlotte, Hodges Family Farm has been serving the Charlotte area for more than 100 years as an agritourism destination and the perfect place for local produce. During the fall, that produce includes pumpkins! Open every day during the month of October, the Hodges Family Farm Pumpkin Patch offers free admission and parking, self-guided tours of the farm and the animals, hayrides and, of course, pumpkins.

 

Hunter Farm

Weddington, North Carolina

Nestled in beautiful Weddington, North Carolina, Hunter Farm offers a real fall, farm getaway every year. Their Fall Pumpkin Patch offers you-pick pumpkins, of course, in addition to wagon rides, trips to the milk barn and the petting barn, bonfires and night rides by reservation, and even Food Truck Saturdays! The farm is open through mid-November and a 3 to 5 lb. pumpkin is included in your admission price.

 

Lewis Farm

Gastonia, North Carolina

Lewis Farm | Pumpkin Patches Near Charlotte

Just 20 minutes west of Charlotte, this sixth-generation working family farm is a picturesque setting whether you’re hosting a wedding or just picking a pumpkin. Their annual Fall Festival continues through the last weekend in October, costs just $7 for youth and adult admission, and offers $5 pony rides for all ages. Phil Simpson’s Christmas Trees and Pumpkins

Charlotte, North Carolina

Located at Carmel Commons in Charlotte, this Halloween pumpkin and Christmas tree lot has been serving our community for over 30 years. During the fall, you can go home with your pumpkin as well as mums, Indian corn and straw.

 

Riverbend Farm

Midland, North Carolina

Celebrating more than 25 years as a pumpkin patch, Riverbend Farm grows between 20 and 25 acres of pumpkins each year. When you visit, you’ll get to hop on a wagon ride out to these sprawling acres where you can pick yours right off the vine.

 

Rural Hill

Pumpkin Patches Near Charlotte

Operating every weekend from mid-September through early-November, the Rural Hill Amazing Maize Maze is a must-visit seasonal destination. The giant seven-acre corn maze features more than two miles of interconnecting paths and is one of the largest in the Southeast! Additional fun on all 265 acres includes hayrides around the farm, corn-hole games, mini-mazes, picnic areas, hiking trails, and a pumpkin patch during the month of October.

 

Wise Acres Organic Farm

Indian Trail, North Carolina

Wise Acres is a family-owned u-pick strawberry and pumpkin farm that is also USDA Certified Organic. So when you pick your berries and your pumpkins here, you know you’re getting some of the best. In addition to the pumpkin patch, fall attractions include a free corn maze, a giant corn pit, wagon rides through the woods, a kiddie barrel train, apple cider slushies, and meet-and-greets with the farm animals.
