North Carolina Arboretum’s Winter Lights Show
Walk through a beautifully lit forest when you visit the Winter Lights at the NC Arboretum. With over one million lights, this holiday event can’t be beat. Running nightly now through December 31st.
Christmas at the Biltmore (Antler Hill Village and Candlelight Tour)
Now through January 8th, Christmas at Biltmore is a holiday bucket list item for people all over the world, not just those residing in North Carolina. Purchase daytime tickets to see America’s largest home all decorated for Christmas or come back after dark for the Candlelight Christmas Evenings event.

Light the Knights
Light the Knights event is a kids’ paradise. With tons of lights, ice skating, and even tubing, this is a perfect event to ring in the holidays.
Holidays at the Garden
Located within the breathtaking gardens at Daniel Stow, this spectacular lights display is a beloved Queen City tradition. Open now through December 31st. Purchasing tickets online to reserve your time slot is highly encouraged.

North Carolina Chinese Lantern Festival
Open every night now through January 8th, The Chinese Lantern Festival is a must see. Open from 6-10 pm each night, it’s strongly encouraged to buy tickets in advance.
Illuminate Art Walk
Looking for something a little unique? Try the Downtown Raleigh Illuminate Art Walk. This completely free event features large, interactive, light-based art. Open now through January 6th.

Greenville-Pickens Speedway Holiday Light Show
Now through the end of the year, the Greenville-Pickens Speedway is home to millions of lights. Gather up the family and view the areas largest Christmas light display from the comfort of your car. Fast passes available on the weekends so you can skip the line.
Light events in the Triad
Tanglewood Festival of Lights
Drive through a festival of lights in Tanglewood Park. Open now through January 1 from 6-11pm each night.
Winter Wonderlights at Greensboro Science Center
The Greensboro Science Center is all lit up for the holidays, with an open-air, walk through display. Open now through the end of the year, visit the light experience before it’s too late. Tickets can be purchased in advance and are highly encouraged.
