Carolinas’ real estate leader closes 19,150 transactions

Allen Tate Companies ended 2021 with $6.8 billion in closed sales volume, the best year in the history of the 64-year-old company and $650 million more than the previous year’s total of $6.15 billion.

The Carolinas’ leading real estate company reported 19,150 closed transaction sides in 2021 and listed 9,500 homes for sale in North and South Carolina.

With its partner Howard Hanna Real Estate Services, the company is ranked as the #1 independent real estate brokerage in the country, with more than 400 offices across 11 states and 13,000 sales agents and staff.

“In 2020, we learned how to be remote, responsive and resilient. In 2021, we learned how to operate at maximum intensity and lightning speed to take care of our clients,” said Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley.

“Our closed transactions and listings for 2021 were almost identical to 2020. The continued inventory challenges resulted in significant price appreciation in many of our markets across the Carolinas,” Riley said.

The Allen Tate Family of Companies also reported strong results for 2021:

More than 700 Allen Tate Realtors achieved top performance levels during 2021, based on closed sales volume of $2 million to more than $100 million. Allen Tate will celebrate these achievements at awards presentations in February and March.

Realtors are recognized each year by Allen Tate for their achievements in categories including company-wide closed sales volume, closed units, listing volume, listing units, and referrals, and for legendary service provided. Realtors are also recognized for their achievements within their region and at the branch level, including top individual agent, top team and rookie of the year.

In 2021, Allen Tate added a new office in Upstate, SC., Anderson, and new offices in the Triangle region, Durham, and Lake Royale. The company expanded its footprint into the Highlands/Cashiers region of North Carolina, joining forces with Pat Allen Realty Group in August.

The company also moved its Mooresville/Lake Norman, Lake Keowee Seneca, Wake Forest/Rolesville, Winston-Salem, Cary, Allen Tate Mortgage and Master Title Agency offices to new spaces and renovated its Huntersville office.

“I am grateful to the agents and homeownership professionals who went the extra mile to navigate the market challenges we continued to face in 2021. I am most grateful to the buyers, sellers and homeowners who partnered with us and trusted us with their most important financial decision – their homes,” Riley said.
