Allen Tate Realtors® throughout the greater Charlotte region recently raised more than $90,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s 20th Annual FUNday event.

For the past two decades, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered each FUNday at a social event to raise money for local public education organizations. This year, four separate regional FUNday events took place through the company’s footprint in North and South Carolina. Since it began, FUNday has raised more than $1.85 million for public education across the Carolinas (not including proceeds from the 2017 events.)

Nearly 400 people attended the Charlotte event held September 25, a field day at Northstone Country Club in Huntersville. The festivities included some long-time favorites: golf, tennis, corn hole, silent and live auctions, a 50/50 raffle and wine pull. Attendees enjoyed casino games, a painting class and live music, and many agents took advantage of the opportunity to attend an annual continuing education update course.

“It is great to see our fantastic Realtors and wonderful sponsors come out, year after year, and ‘play’ with the same passion they have for real estate to raise money to support public education in our local communities,” said Carol Hampton, FUNday Charlotte event chairperson.

Proceeds from FUNday Charlotte benefit public school systems and organizations in Mecklenburg, Iredell, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Union, York (SC) and Lancaster (SC) counties.

FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional and local sponsors.

Diamond sponsors for the Charlotte event were The Reserve at River Run and True Homes.

Platinum sponsor was The Coley Law Firm, PLLC.

Gold sponsor was T.R. Lawing Realty, Inc.

Allen Tate is the Carolinas’ largest real estate company with 24 local offices in the Charlotte region and a total of 44 offices in North and South Carolina.
