Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley has been named to the SP 200 (Swanepoel Power 200) for 2021, an annual list of real estate’s most powerful and influential executives and leaders in the residential real estate industry.
Riley is ranked No. 103 among the top 200 real estate executives. He was previously named to the SP 200 for 2018 and 2020.
Three leaders from Allen Tate’s strategic partner, Howard Hanna Real Estate, were also recognized. They include Hanna Holdings Chairman Howard “Hoddy” Hanna and Howard Hanna Real Estate Services CEO Helen Hanna Casey, ranked at No. 11, and Howard Hanna Real Estate Services President Howard “Hoby” Hanna, ranked at No. 40. Casey is also the top-ranked woman executive on the 2021 SP 200 list.
The SP 200 is compiled and published annually by T3 Sixty, the residential real estate brokerage industry’s leading management consulting and research firm.
The evaluation process involves months of quantitative and qualitative assessments to review leaders, including recent developments at their company, their tenure, their role in their organization and its production, and vigorous evaluation and debate about each person’s relative power and influence in his or her own company as well as the in the industry in general.
“Many executives work hard every day to manage their companies,” said T3 Sixty Chairman and CEO Stefan Swanepoel. “The ones included in the annual SP 200 this year are the leaders that stood out during 2020 as the most influential and impactful in the industry. We also acknowledge the tens of thousands of other leaders that also stood up and made a difference when the industry needed them.”
Riley has led the Carolinas’ largest real estate brokerage brand since 1992, which spans 45 offices in North and South Carolina. In 2020, the company recorded its best year in the history of the company, with 19,549 closed sales transactions totaling $6.15 billion.
In 2018, Allen Tate joined forces with Howard Hanna Real Estate, the #1 family-owned independent real estate broker in the United States and the largest home seller in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York. The partnership created the #1 privately owned real estate company in the nation, with more than 12,000 agents and employees in more than 350 offices in 11 states.
Since then, Allen Tate has acquired two independent real estate companies, Blowing Rock Investment Properties in Blowing Rock, N.C. and Realty One in Winston-Salem, N.C. and plans additional acquisitions.
