Kelly Smith, branch leader and broker in charge for the Allen Tate Realtors® Greenville-Downtown office, has been named to the Upstate’s 2023 Women of Influence by GSA Business Report.
Smith was one of 27 Upstate women honored at a luncheon held March 29, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Greenville. The award recognizes the professional success and community involvement of women who are making their mark on the region from a mix of industry, professional and community sectors.
“Kelly moved to the Upstate just seven years ago, but in that brief period, her dedication and commitment to her company and the community which she loves has been unmatched,” said Mark Bardo, former regional vice president, Allen Tate Realtors.
Smith joined Allen Tate in 2015 and was promoted to branch leader of the company’s largest Upstate office, Greenville-Downtown, in 2019. Since that time, she has won numerous awards for growth and has also been recognized by her peers for teamwork and coaching of others.
She has served the real estate industry on various committees of the Greater Greenville Association of Realtors; was chairperson for the Young Professionals Network in 2022; and recently began a three-year term on the Board of Directors.
Smith has served the Upstate community as fundraising volunteer for the Julie Valentine Center and the Women’s Rights Empowerment Network (WREN). She is an advocate for the Greenville County Police Department and Internet Crimes Against Children program, raising funds for a K-9 and computer to help locate victims of child abuse and sex trafficking.
She has served as Upstate region chair for the annual Allen Tate FUNday for public education, raising more than $120,000 since 2015 to benefit public schools in the Upstate. Smith founded the Allen Tate Upstate Car Show in 2021 and has held two successful events raising more than $5,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
She is also an active United Way volunteer and Habitat for Humanity advocate.
