Snow fest
Coming up the last weekend of January, Snow Fest is back and better than ever! Open both Saturday, 1/28 and Sunday, 1/29, and located at an elevation of 4,118 feet in Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park. Come prepared to have some winter wonderland fun with a snowball toss, snow tube merry-go-round, snow slide, ice staking, s’mores, hot cocoa and more!
Ice skating
Open daily through March 5, enjoy ice skating with the beautiful town of Highlands in the background. Just $5 to skate, with coffee and hot coca available. You can’t miss this picturesque winter activity.
Go on a hike
Experience tranquility when you escape the city to renew your mind while hiking on one of the many trails and greenways located in Highlands. Dress warmly and get outdoors to see rivers, bridges, frozen waterfalls that you can walk under, and stunning winter vistas.
Escape to 200 Main
Take advantage of the winter specials at 200 Main that include overnight accommodations in their trendy mountain chic boutique, breakfast for two, ice skating, guided hikes and more.
Snow tubing
Just a short drive from downtown Highlands is Highlands Outpost, a family-fun adventure zone with snow tubing, gem mining, a 3800 foot mountain coster and more. Snow tubing is open most days through the first weekend in March, regardless of snow conditions. Thrill seekers can enjoy a leisurely ride on the magic carpet as they’re lifted to the top of the hill and then ride their tube all the way down.
Skiing
