Allen Tate Realtors® throughout the greater Charlotte region recently raised more than $100,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s 19th Annual FUNday event.
For the past 19 years, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered each FUNday at a social event to raise money for local public education organizations. This year, four separate regional FUNday events took place through the company’s footprint in North and South Carolina.
Since it began, FUNday has raised more than $1.65 million for public education across the Carolinas (not including proceeds from the 2016 events.)
More than 400 people attended the Charlotte event held September 26, a field day at Northstone Country Club in Huntersville. The festivities included golf, tennis, bingo, corn hole, a 50/50 raffle, wine pull, and other activities, capped off with a Southern picnic lunch.
“This year, we returned to our original FUNday roots with golf, tennis and games. We even had a brand new Cadillac on the golf course, just waiting for a hole-in-one,” said Tracey Stehle, FUNday Charlotte event chairperson.
“The quality of our schools, teachers and programs is so important to the health of our communities – and to the health of our business. Supporting public education was one of Mr. Tate’s passions, and he would have been so proud of this year’s event,” said Stehle.
Proceeds from FUNday Charlotte benefit public school systems and organizations in Mecklenburg, Iredell, Cabarrus, Gaston, Union and York (SC) counties.
FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional and local sponsors.
Diamond sponsors for the Charlotte event were River Run at Davidson and True Homes.
Platinum sponsor was The Coley Law Firm.
Gold sponsors were Benchmark Communities, Bonterra Builders/AV Homes, Essex Homes, Quantum Digital and Taylor Morrison.
Allen Tate is the Carolinas’ largest real estate company with 25 local offices in the Charlotte region and a total of 43 offices in North and South Carolina.
