Tate Cares Operation Education campaign held in place of FUNday
Allen Tate Realtors® and employees contributed $80,000 for public education in the Carolinas as part of a special Tate Cares fundraising campaign.
For more than two decades, Allen Tate has held regional themed FUNday events each fall to raise money for public education organizations in local communities. Last year, the company shifted to a virtual fundraising campaign, Tate Cares Operation Education, because of COVID restrictions. The company elected to hold a virtual campaign again in 2021, Tate Cares Operation Education 2.0
“Since 1998, Allen Tate has contributed more than $2.51 million to public education organizations across the company footprint. We hoped to gather again for FUNday in 2021, but chose to run our campaign virtually. We missed the “fun” of FUNday, but we couldn’t miss the opportunity to help our schools,” said Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley.
Like FUNday, funds raised from the Tate Cares Operation Education campaign will stay in local Allen Tate communities. Recipient organizations are identified and selected locally, with a focus on organizations that can most benefit public education and quality of life.
Public education is part of the Tate Cares giving initiative, along with giving campaigns to benefit arts and cultural organizations and United Way agencies. The lifetime Tate Cares contribution since 1998 is more than $5.63 million.
