Howard Hanna Allen Tate Realtors in the Charlotte region recently raised more than $58,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s Annual FUNday event.

For the past 28 years, Howard Hanna Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered to raise money for local public education organizations.

This year, the company held four regional FUNday events across the Carolinas in October and November. To date, FUNday has raised more than $2.8 million for public education across the Carolinas.

More than 275 people attended the Charlotte event, held November 4 at the Anne Close Springs Greenway – Comporium Amphitheatre in Fort Mill, SC. Agents, guests and sponsors enjoyed lawn games, food trucks, live music from Underground Detour and a 50/50 raffle.

“As a former public school teacher who understands the needs of schools and students in the areas we serve, FUNday is an extremely important event for our community,” said Katrina Richards, regional vice president, Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate and Charlotte FUNday co-chairperson. “We love coming together to give back to something so important to all of our futures.”

Local education organizations that will benefit from Howard Hanna Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Best NC, Cabarrus County Schools, Classroom Central, Clover Leaf Foundation, Communities in Schools, Foundation for Fort Mill Schools, Gaston County Education Foundation, Greater Cleveland County Schools, Indian Land High School, Iredell-Statesville Schools, Kannapolis Education Foundation, Lancaster County Schools, Meck Ed Citizens for Public Education, Mooresville Foundation for Excellence in Education, Read Charlotte, Rock Hill Education Foundation, Stanly County Board of Education, Walter Bickett Elementary School and York Education Foundation

Public education is part of the Howard Hanna Tate Cares giving initiative.
