Howard Hanna Allen Tate Realtors in the Triangle region recently raised more than $17,500 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s Annual FUNday event.

For the past 28 years, Howard Hanna Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered to raise money for local public education organizations.

This year, the company held four regional FUNday events across the Carolinas in October and November. To date, FUNday has raised more than $2.8 million for public education across the Carolinas.

More than 80 people attended the Triangle event, held October 29 at the ZincHouse Winery & Brewery in Durham. Agents and sponsors socialized and purchased raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes.

“We had a fantastic event to raise money for public education with the help of our amazing sponsors,” said Chip Edwards, branch leader, Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate Raleigh-Glenwood and Triangle FUNday co-chairperson. “A strong public education system is critical to keeping the Triangle at the forefront of decision-makers’ minds when it comes to relocation.”

Local education organizations that will benefit from Howard Hanna Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Communities in Schools Wake County, Durham Book Harvest, Poe Center for Education and Wake Ed Partnership/Tools for Schools.

FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional, and local sponsors.

Company-wide sponsors included 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, Artisan Signs and Graphics, Century Communities, Keystone Custom Homes, Linnane Homes, LiveEasy, Meritage Homes, MoxiWorks, Peachtree Residential, RedX, Skyslope, Taylor Morrison, and Thomas & Webber.

Gold sponsor was Triangle Appraisal Group. Silver sponsors included Jackson Law, Remediation Consultant Services, Steve Smallman Inspections and The South Law Firm

Public education is part of the Howard Hanna Tate Cares giving initiative. The company also sponsors the Children’s Free Care Fund, a fundraising initiative to support local children’s hospitals and provide free medical care for children who cannot afford it. To date, the Howard Hanna Family of Companies has contributed more than $27 million to local charities.
