Howard Hanna Allen Tate Real Estate, the country’s #1 family-owned and operated, independent real estate firm and the #1 brokerage in the Carolinas, has named Garrett Kachellek as sales manager of the company’s Charlotte-SouthPark office at 6700 Fairview Road.
In this role, Kachellek will work in tandem with Charlotte-SouthPark Branch Leader Alison Smith to oversee branch operations and training and provide leadership and support to a team of more than 70 Howard Hanna Allen Tate real estate agents and staff.
A third-generation real estate professional, Kachellek began his real estate career with Howard Hanna Allen Tate in 2015 as part of Team Kachellek with his mother, Jan. Together, they have sold more than $222 million in closed sales volume. He earned his broker-in-charge license in 2018 and his real estate educator license in 2023. He is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, including Chairman’s Circle, Charlotte Observer Rising Star in Real Estate, and Mortgage Partner of the Year.
Kachellek holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Elon University, where he was a member of the golf team. He earned a master of education degree from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. Prior to his real estate career, he worked in higher education administration and leadership development.
In 2025, Kachellek founded Providence Real Estate Education, an NCREC-approved continuing education provider. He will continue to serve as education director and instructor, in addition to his responsibilities as Charlotte-SouthPark sales manager for Howard Hanna Allen Tate.

A native of Charlotte, Kachellek and his wife Alex have one daughter. He is a competitive golfer and enjoys attending sporting events.
