The contribution is part of more than $129,000 raised at the Allen Tate FUNday 2015, an fee-based event where Realtors and employees “pay to play”, with all proceeds benefitting public education. Four unique regional events were held in 2015, including “An Evening in Old Hollywood” held October 8 at Carolina Country Club in Raleigh.

Since it began 18 years ago, FUNday has raised more than $1.65 million for public education across the Carolinas.

“We are extremely pleased to present this check to the Poe Center. Allen Tate Realtors are passionate about public education and understands its critical importance to families making home-buying and relocation decisions. FUNday gives everyone at Allen Tate a chance to directly impact organizations committed to quality education,” said Susan “Bootsie” Harris, branch manager of the Allen Tate Cary-Stonebridge office and Triangle region chairperson of FUNday 2015.

“FUNday celebrates the spirit of working together, having fun and giving back to the communities that have been supportive to our company,” said Harris.
