Allen Tate Realtors® in the Triad and High Country recently raised more than $26,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s Annual FUNday event.

For the past 26 years, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered to raise money for local public education organizations. In 2020 and 2021, the company held virtual fundraising campaigns because of COVID.

This year, the company held four regional FUNday events across the Carolinas in August and September. To date, FUNday has raised more than $2.66 million for public education across the Carolinas (not including proceeds from 2023 events).

More than 250 people attended “Cactus and Cocktails,” an afternoon event held September 26 at Legacy Stables and Events in Winston-Salem.

Festivities included a live auction, DJ, wine and liquor pull, reverse raffle, photo booth and dancing.

“I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to our incredible sponsors and agents that participated in the event,” said Beverly Foster, branch leader, Allen Tate Burlington, and Triad and High Country FUNday chairperson.

“Your generosity and willingness to invest in the future of our children have played a pivotal role in making this event a resounding success. We know that every dollar contributed is an investment in the betterment of our society, and your dedication to this cause is truly inspiring,” Foster said.

Local education organizations that will benefit from Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Alamance County Beginning Teacher Induction Program, Asheboro City Schools, Davidson County Education Foundation, Guilford Education Alliance, Educator Warehouse – Forsyth Education Partnership, Enrichment Fund of Guilford County, Randolph County Schools, Rockingham County Schools and Watauga Education Foundation.

FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional, and local sponsors.

Company-wide sponsors included 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, Adwerx, Progressive, Quantum Digital and Telware.

Event sponsors included Budget Blinds, Eastwood Homes and Royal Homes.

Platinum sponsors included DR Horton and DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of Greensboro.
