Allen Tate Realtors® in Upstate South Carolina recently raised more than $20,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s 19th Annual FUNday event.
For the past 19 years, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered each FUNday and “paid to play” to raise money for local public education organizations. This year, four separate regional FUNday events will be held through the company’s footprint in North and South Carolina. To date, FUNday has raised more than $1.65 million for public education across the Carolinas.
An estimated 200 people attended the Upstate event, Making Waves for Education, held September 8 at the Hyatt Downtown Greenville. The beach-themed evening included a silent and live auction, games, music and dancing, and drawings for $500 in restaurant gift cards and a diamond ring.
“This was the best FUNday event the Upstate has produced. So many of our caring agents and members of our leadership team worked tirelessly to secure everything needed to maximize our fundraising for our Upstate school children,” said Gary Cohen, FUNday Upstate event chairperson. “This was a true testament of just how much Allen Tate Realtors care about their community.”
Local education organizations that will benefit from Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Greenville County Schools, Pickens County Schools, Spartanburg County Schools and Anderson County Schools. FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional and local sponsors.
