Real estate leader closed $5.75 billion in sales volume in 2018

Allen Tate Realtors® ended the year with $5.75 billion in closed sales volume, the best year in the company’s 61-year history as the Carolinas’ real estate leader and surpassing 2017 closed sales volume of $5.672 billion.

The Carolinas’ leading real estate company reported 21,190 closed transaction sides in 2018.

“While home prices continued to appreciate during 2018, listing inventory remained low,” said Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley. “In the coming year, we should see prices begin to normalize and ultimately, listings begin to increase.”

The Allen Tate Family of Companies also reported significant results for 2018:

  • Allen Tate Mortgage closed 1,437 loans totaling $306 million.
  • Allen Tate Insurance added 2,408 new customers, for a total of nearly 19,000 customers and 36,000 policies in force.
  • Allen Tate Relocation generated 6,637 referrals through its Relocation connections around the world.
  • Master Title Agency wrote 5,400 title commitments, with a total insured value of $1.6 billion.

More than 700 Allen Tate Realtors achieved top performance levels during 2018, based on closed sales volume of $2 million to more than $100 million. Allen Tate will celebrate these achievements at regional awards events beginning January 24.

Realtors are recognized each year by Allen Tate for their achievements in categories including company-wide closed sales volume, closed units, listing volume, listing units, and referrals, and for legendary service provided. Realtors are also recognized for their achievements within their region and at the branch level, including top individual agent, top team and rookie of the year.

In 2018, Allen Tate expanded its footprint further into Upstate S.C., adding four offices. In September, the company joined forced with Pittsburgh-based Howard Hanna Real Estate to form the largest independent real estate brokerage network in the country.

The company has 47 offices across its four-region footprint in North and South Carolina.

“We closed 21,190 transaction sides last year and had the honor and privilege of helping thousands of families buy or sell a home. Our agents have risen to the challenges of the marketplace, provided Red Penguin service and helped each of their clients achieve their unique real estate and homeownership goals. That’s something that can only be provided by trusted, experienced professional Realtors,” Riley said.

“We look forward to a strong, sustainable real estate market in the coming year. We’re ready to partner with you on your real estate journey.”
