Allen Tate Companies President and CEO Pat Riley has been named to the Swanepoel Power 200 (SP200) for 2020, a list of the most powerful and influential leaders in residential real estate.
Riley is ranked No. 73 among the top 200 real estate executives. He was previously named to the Swanepoel Power 200 for 2018.
The SP200 is the definitive ranking of residential real estate’s top leaders produced and published annually by the Swanepoel T3 Group, led by New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Stefan Swanepoel.
Leaders are evaluated based on the office they hold, the decision-making power associated with the office, the financial resources at their disposal, their organization’s industry significance and geographical reach, public announcements about imminent changes, their tenure and their personal influence in the industry.
Riley has led the Carolinas’ largest real estate brokerage brand since 1992, which spans 47 offices in North and South Carolina. In 2019, the company recorded 20,071 closed sales transactions totaling $5.75 billion.
In 2018, Allen Tate joined forces with Howard Hanna Real Estate, the third-largest real estate company in the United States and the largest home seller in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York. The partnership created the #1 privately owned real estate company in the nation, with more than 11,000 agents and employees in more than 300 offices in 10 states.
Since then, Allen Tate has acquired two independent real estate companies, Blowing Rock Investment Properties in Blowing Rock, N.C. and Realty One in Winston-Salem, N.C. and plans additional acquisitions.
