Allen Tate Realtors® in the Triangle recently raised more than $16,000 to benefit public education, as part of the company’s Annual FUNday event.
For the past 26 years, Allen Tate agents, employees and guests have gathered to raise money for local public education organizations. In 2020 and 2021, the company held virtual fundraising campaigns because of COVID.
This year, the company held four regional FUNday events across the Carolinas in August and September. To date, FUNday has raised more than $2.66 million for public education across the Carolinas (not including proceeds from 2023 events).
More than 80 people attended “Office Olympics 2023,” an afternoon event held September 12 at the N.C. State Alumni Association in Raleigh.
Festivities included a live auction, DJ, wine and liquor pull, and reverse raffle.
“We would like to thank the sponsors who have been loyal to this event for the past 15 years,” said Allison Summey, branch leader, Allen Tate Raleigh-Glenwood and Triangle FUNday co-chairperson.
“The interaction with agents and vendors was superb and will lead to lasting relationships. It was a fun event with a successful outcome,” said Matt Demson, branch leader, Allen Tate Durham and Allen Tate Chapel Hill/Pittsboro.
Local education organizations that will benefit from Allen Tate FUNday dollars include Communities in Schools of Chatham County, Communities in Schools of Wake County, Durham Book Harvest, and the Poe Center for Health Education.
FUNday is made possible through the support of national, regional, and local sponsors.
Company-wide sponsors included 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, Adwerx, Progressive, Quantum Digital and Telware.
Event sponsors included Jackson Law and Sterling Law.
Platinum sponsor was RiteRug.
Gold sponsors included AQI Inspections, Atlas Flooring & Design, and Bliss Homes.
Silver sponsors included Agri-Waste Technology, Brady Boyette, Capital of Cary, French Creek Inspections, Piedmont Service Group, South Law Firm, and Steve Smallman Property Inspections.
Public education is part of the Tate Cares giving initiative. The lifetime Tate Cares contribution since 1998 is more than $5.78 million.
